HQ Global Search is proud to offer its new Better On-Boarding Programme (BOB), designed to support Partners during the early stages of joining a new firm. The aim is to improve the performance, predictability, and process of starting at a new firm while minimising disruption and “partner lag” when acclimatising to a new role.
BOB will provide three individual coaching sessions with a highly experienced and qualified coach-mentor:
- to offer a safe and confidential space over a new Partner’s first 90 days:
- to reflect and plan, with typical take-outs being high energy, clarity, productive thinking, stress reduction and enhanced confidence
- to address any concerns/underlying fears/unhelpful beliefs, and other issues that emerge, whether about adapting to the new environment and/or generating new business
- to clarify and manage the firm’s expectations, ensuring alignment with the firm’s priorities and ironing out any ambiguity
- to accelerate revenue generation
- to speed up a smooth integration to the new team
- to ensure any of the common pitfalls are avoided
- and provide the level of support and challenge necessary to achieve best outcomes for both the individual and the firm.
The BOB programme will automatically occur with all hires through HQ Global Search and can also be used with other hires. We are working with carefully chosen and highly experienced coaches/mentors of the highest quality and experience available in the market. Moreover, HQ Global Search has a very competitive rate for this programme for non-HQ Global Search hires. Please contact James Quick if you wish to discuss this further.
With our process, a new partner will be better able to understand and adapt to a new culture and values, to contribute more quickly and more effectively, build trusted relationships, and work towards their two-year objectives as well as achieve early wins. Ultimately, the new partner will feel enhanced satisfaction and develop a sense of belonging and commitment to their new firm.
The Bespoke On-Boarding Coaching Programme consists of three sessions initially, with more available if requested:
- Session 1 (Pre-Boarding): The Line Manager responsible for the new hire will be invited to a three-way conversation facilitated by one of our two coaches to help clarify expectations and priorities.
- Candidate joins new firm.
- Session 2 (On-Boarding): This is a confidential and focused discussion between the coach and the new Partner, identifying successes, challenges, opportunities, accountability, and motivation.
- Session 3 (On-Boarding): This final session, can be confidential or involve a Line Manager depending on requirements. A review, followed by actionable steps in a high-energy and confidence boosting situational conversation and coaching framework.
